Alex Clarke (Physio) and Mandy Cheales (Podiatrist) were kept very busy attending to some major overuse injuries at the recent 100km OxFam Trailwalk. If you were one of the 1200 who did the walk, congratulations! It looks like you've raised over $960,000. Fantastic!
Here's some feedback from the organisers.
"Thank you so very very much for your amazing efforts this weekend. I am sorry I didn't get to meet you all in person but from what I did see and from everything I hear, were all beyond amazing and your smiling faces, expertise and your overall enouragement helped our walkers not just physically but emotionally as well.
The event itself was a massive success. About 80% of teams got to the Finish line, which is amazing given the difficulty of this particular trail. I have no doubt that without your expertise, far less of the teams would have made it there. I would love a $1 for every blister that was treated by Mandy, the Podiatrist, and every muscle that was treated by the Physios.
Our original target was $400k so this figure is beyond all our expectations. We are quietly excited here in the office that we will reach the $1m mark by the time fundraising closes in mid-July.
Thank you again. You are amazing people and have made a huge difference."
