Scoliosis is a medical condition in which a person's
spine is curved from side to side. The
spine of an individual with a typical scoliosis may look more like an
"S" than a straight line.
We see lots of adults with particular back problems,
scoliosis or
postural problems who wished they'd been diagnosed and treated when
they were young.
How Do We Check for Scoliosis?
Checking for scoliosis, back and postural problems is very safe, non-invasive and gentle. First your physiotherapist will examine your spine, shoulders, rib cage, pelvis, legs and feet for abnormalities and asymmetry.
If we suspect a significant scoliosis, we can arrange for X-rays.More Information about Scoliosis
