Physiotherapist
Janette is one of the most experienced physiotherapists currently practising in Brisbane. In the early 1980s, Janette commenced her own private practice in the Carindale Shopping Centre. She continued there as a sole practitioner for 10 years. During this time she treated a full array of conditions, and developed invaluable experience in musculo-skeletal medicine.
After 10 years, Janette changed career path, focusing on her special interest of hand therapy. She worked at the Belmont Hospital Hand Therapy Unit, alongside various hand surgeons and occupational therapists. This position incorporated a wide range of therapy, from post-operative wound care to monitoring return to work programs.
After the hand unit closed in 2002, Janette returned to her previous passion of musculo-skeletal physiotherapy, securing employment with PhysioWorks. She has dedicated her entire working life to physiotherapy, gaining valuable experience that only 30 years in a profession can provide. She believes that the physiotherapy profession is best carried out with an on going open mind to new as well as old techniques.
